today while looking for some cute d.i.y. projects online, i stumbled across the ever-so-cute THE SEAMS blog. this little seamstress from florida came up with the cutest idea of how to turn a wrap or huge piece of fabric into a gigantic layered vest. i see vests like these all over the place and some are going for $30 to $40 bucks; it just ain't worth it. if you visit her link (http://theseams.blogspot.com/2010/02/diy-wrap-turned-scarf.html) she teaches you the steps!
i had one of those rediculous american apparel circle scarves laying around that i got for free while working there and barely ever used. so, i cut it in half and measured carefully and cut two arms into the bitch; now i have myself a nice, droopy layered grey vest that i can wear alone, with a belt, under a jacket... it's perfect for your layering needs!
